Returns & Refund Policy
Information about your right of withdrawal, returning goods, refunds and defective products.
This policy applies to eligible consumer purchases made through the bmelectric.eu online store.
1General Provisions
1.1. This Policy governs the return of goods and refunds for purchases made on the bmelectric.eu online store, operated by BM Trade, MB, company code 305544877, VAT number LT100013262814, registered address M. K. Čiurlionio g. 84B-76, LT-03170 Vilnius, Lithuania (hereinafter – the „Seller“).
1.2. The Seller sells and delivers goods to customers throughout the European Union. This Policy is based on EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU (Articles 9–16) and its implementing legislation in the Republic of Lithuania – Articles 6.228¹⁰–6.228¹² of the Civil Code and the Law on Consumer Protection. As Directive 2011/83/EU sets mandatory, uniform minimum consumer protection standards across the EU, this Policy applies in substance to customers in all EU Member States; the national law of a customer’s country of residence may grant additional (but not fewer) rights.
1.3. This Policy applies to customers who are natural persons purchasing goods for personal, family or household use („Consumers“). The 14-day right of withdrawal described below does not apply to legal entities or business buyers, unless agreed otherwise.
Back to top ↑2Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Return Right)
2.1. The Consumer has the right to withdraw from a distance (online) purchase contract within 14 calendar days, without giving any reason and without incurring any costs other than those specified in this Policy.
2.2. This 14-day period is counted from the day on which the Consumer, or a third party indicated by the Consumer (other than the carrier), receives the ordered goods. Where a single order comprises several goods delivered separately, the period is counted from the day the last item is received.
2.3. If the Seller has not properly informed the Consumer of the right of withdrawal, the withdrawal period is extended to 12 months from the expiry of the original 14-day period.
Back to top ↑3How to Notify the Seller of a Withdrawal
3.1. To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Consumer must inform the Seller of the decision before the 14-day period expires, by means of an unequivocal statement (e.g. a free-form email to sales@bmtradeco.eu, stating the order number, the name of the product(s), and the intention to withdraw from the contract / return the goods). Consumers are encouraged to use a standard withdrawal form, which may be provided together with the goods or made available on request.
3.2. Upon receipt of such notice, the Seller will promptly acknowledge receipt by email.
4Conditions and Deadline for Returning Goods
4.1. Returned goods must be undamaged, retain their commercial appearance (labels, protective film, etc. must be intact) and be unused (e.g. electrical cables must not be cut, connected, installed or otherwise damaged through use). The Consumer is liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods (i.e. the goods may be inspected and tested as one would in a shop, but not installed or used for their intended purpose).
4.2. Where possible, the returned item should be in its original packaging, with all accessories, documents (invoice/receipt) and included components.
4.3. The Consumer must send the goods back to the Seller (or a person indicated by the Seller) no later than 14 days from the date the notice of withdrawal was given.
Back to top ↑5Return Shipping Costs
5.1. The direct cost of returning the goods (postage/courier fee) is borne by the Consumer, except where the return is due to the Seller’s fault (wrong item sent, item damaged or defective on arrival, etc.), in which case the Seller bears the return shipping cost.
5.2. We recommend returning goods by registered mail or courier and keeping proof of shipment until the refund has been received.
Back to top ↑6Refunds
6.1. Upon receiving the Consumer’s notice of withdrawal, the Seller will refund all payments received from the Consumer, including the original delivery cost (excluding any additional cost arising from the Consumer’s choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery method offered by the Seller), no later than 14 days from the date the notice of withdrawal was received.
6.2. The Seller may withhold the refund until the goods have been received back, or until the Consumer has supplied evidence of having sent the goods back, whichever is earlier.
6.3. Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless the Consumer expressly agrees to a different method and incurs no additional cost as a result.
Back to top ↑7Goods Not Subject to the 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
7.1. All goods sold on bmelectric.eu (cables and wires) are of fixed, pre-determined and pre-packaged length/quantity – they are not manufactured or customised to the Consumer’s individual order. Accordingly, the exception under Article 6.228¹² of the Civil Code for goods made to the consumer’s specifications does not apply to this product range. The standard 14-day right of withdrawal set out in Section 2 applies to all products sold.
7.2. Should the product range in the future include goods to which the right of withdrawal objectively does not apply under Article 6.228¹² of the Civil Code (e.g. goods sealed for health or hygiene reasons which are not suitable for return once unsealed after delivery), such an exception will be clearly stated in the relevant product description.
Back to top ↑8Faulty or Defective Goods (Legal Guarantee)
8.1. This Policy governs only the Consumer’s right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. It does not affect the Consumer’s separate right in respect of goods that do not conform to the contract (manufacturing defects, transport damage, non-conformity with the description). In such cases, the Consumer is entitled, within the statutory 2-year conformity guarantee period, to a free repair, replacement or refund, irrespective of the conditions set out in this Policy (the goods may have been used or installed).
8.2. To report such an issue, the Consumer should contact sales@bmtradeco.eu, describing the defect and, where possible, attaching photos or a video.
Back to top ↑9Return Address and Procedure
9.1. Before sending goods back, the Consumer may (but is not required to) first contact the Seller (see Section 3) for return instructions.
9.2. Return address:

Back to top ↑10Final Provisions
10.1. This Policy and the underlying contract are governed in substance by the law of the Republic of Lithuania (the Seller’s country of establishment). This does not deprive a Consumer resident in another EU Member State of the protection afforded to them by the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence, where those provisions are more favourable to the Consumer.
10.2. In the event of a dispute, the Consumer may contact the Lithuanian State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (address: Vilniaus g. 25, 01402 Vilnius, Lithuania, email: tarnyba@vvtat.lt, www.vvtat.lt) or the relevant national consumer protection authority in their country of residence. The Consumer may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Finally, the Consumer has the right to bring a claim before a competent court.
10.3. The Seller reserves the right to amend, update or supplement this Policy to reflect changes in applicable law. The version of the Policy in force at the time an order is placed shall apply to that order.
